Hi folks. I move the blog over to www.acceptanceandcommitmenttherapyact.com. Just look for blog on the page on the top menu.

It will be a more complete Psychological Flexibility and ACT (Training) site.

A Cognitive Behavioral Coordinate (or Numbering) System

Posted by  /

Hi folks,

I just posted a new video on YouTube (see below). It’s my first stab at a Cognitive Behavioral Coordinate (or Numbering) System (CBCS) or (CBNS). In the video I used the word “Numbering” instead of “Coordinate.” We will land on one or the other.

In this video I’m playing around with defining the behaviors at points

(Bx = 5, Cy = 5),
(Bx = -5, Cy = 5),
(Bx = -5, Cy = -5) and
(Bx = 5, Cy = -5).

Please post here, on YouTube, or send me an email about what you think are good examples of behaviors at these coordinates.

Be back at you soon,

Kevin

ACT for (or with) Pain Workshop

Posted by  /

Hi Folks,

I uploaded a new video last night on my YouTube channel.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWttDrs40R0

called “ACT for (or with) Pain Workshop.”

It’s a fast (about 12 minutes) run through of a longer pain workshop.

Take a look and like or dislike it, and please leave comments too. I can improve the video after feedback.

My written stuff is available at http://goodsie.com/store/kevin-polk. You support is appreciated.

Be well,

Kevin
